Come Children of the Night

Over the last fifteen years, I have watched the fall of the Illumine Confederacy and the birth of the democratic nations that linger in its wake. Order has fallen, chaos has taken an unearned place at our table. The institutions which trained Order Knights, Administrators, Night Lords and their peers have been labelled as villains. High Dragon Aspikia returned from his wanderings to find the great University of Alchoa reduced to an institution of Merchants, not statecraft. The Infinite Continents are too far even for Goddesses to see; too distant to feel more than a whisper of faith. The brightest beings of Night are no more and democracy subdues the faithful. Thousands of years I've wondered. When I was born, there was nothing. I was not the first to arrive, but the first to look upon the world and cloak it in my Night. My night gave birth to the light and the first life.

Would I need to search for another champion? One to fight the Light? No. Aspikia was right. The institutions kept us strong. Professional. When they fell; when they were ignored was the moment the meaning of 'Villainy' changed. We have discussed. Reviewed and prepared. Here, amongst the annals borne by my power you will find education. You will find research and opinions to lead you into the future. Reclaim your birthright.

If they call you villain: bear that name with pride. - General Moran Koriks - First Guard of the Night
